e-coaching

Training PlansOSPT’s e-coaching is a step above the generic, standardized training plans you find elsewhere online. Instead, after we receive the background information from the forms you submit, you will receive a training plan personalized to you and your goals.

Your coach will talk with you via email, chat/IM, and/or text on a consistent basis to monitor your training.

An individualized program will be provided and adjusted based on performance.

Threshold Sports Training uses an online calendar (that you may download) to design, monitor, adjust and evaluate your training program.

What you get:

  • a 4-, 5-, or 6-days per week training program (depending upon the distance of the event, level of pre-training, and personal schedule) designed and provided in four-week segments (or “cycles”)
  • specific workouts designed to provide planned variations in intensity and workload assignments to maximize progress and minimize overtraining
  • special emphasis on transition training (for triathlon)
  • additional individualized attention to any past/present/potential areas of injury

To receive an OSPT Training Plan, email the following information to, running@omahasportspt.com:

  • event type
  • the distance
  • your current training status
  • how hard you want to train
  • the number of weeks until the event*

Once you have emailed the information above, submit payment at this site:

  • note, you will be taken from the OSPT website (online payment)
  • indicate “training plan” in the account number field
  • OSPT’s Training Plan is $100
    • aside from follow up communication to clarify information (if needed), unless otherwise arranged, there will be no other contact between you and the coach; for weekly communication, there is an additional fee of $45/week
    • this will provide three electronic communications per week

After payment, you will be provided a link to download four forms; you must complete these forms prior to receiving your program (within one week).

*Note: The standard minimum safe timeline is 1 week of training for each mile of a running event (e.g., 10k race = 6 weeks; marathon = 26 weeks) and 0.5 week of training for each mile of a triathlon event (e.g., 800m swim/50 mile bike/10k race = 56.7 miles = 28 weeks). Actual training time needed is based on an assessment of current training status and racing experience. Threshold Sports Training reserves the right to adjust the total needed preparation training time (i.e., more or less time than 0.5-1 week/event mile may be needed or sufficient) or decline performing this service if the client’s fitness/health/training status and/or the available time period remaining to prepare for the event is determined to be insufficient to safely and properly prepare for the event. If that happens, you will be refunded your entire payment.
