Physiology of volleyball

Common volleyball injuries

The most commonly injured joint in volleyball is the knee, followed closely by the ankle joint. Surprisingly, in the upper body, the hand and wrist sustain more severe injuries than the shoulder.

Volleyball players become injured 2 ½ times more during games than practices.
